Legal Counsel (Commercial)

Location: London, United Kingdom; full-time hybrid role based in the London office. Some international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate supplier, software/SaaS, services, procurement, supply chain, vendor, OEM, and Tier 1 commercial agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property, AI development and training data, data usage, privacy, and other technology-related legal matters.
• Support employment and HR matters affecting the global workforce, working with local counsel when required.
• Support strategic initiatives, international expansion, new product deployments, and the operation, testing, and deployment of the vehicle fleet.
• Develop scalable legal processes, templates, playbooks, and governance structures as contracting volumes grow.
• Educate business stakeholders on commercial risk, contracting best practices, and legal processes.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
• Training at a leading law firm and 2–4 years of relevant post-qualification experience; candidates with more or less experience may also be considered.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including procurement, supply chain, technology, and vendor contracts.
• Experience advising business stakeholders in fast-moving, technology-driven environments and communicating legal risk clearly and pragmatically.
• Strong commercial judgement, organisational skills, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, procurement, engineering, product, privacy, People, and fleet operations teams.

Nice to have

• Commercial experience in the automotive, mobility, technology, OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or engineering sectors.
• Experience with large-scale B2B transactions involving hardware, software, data, or integrated technology solutions.
• Exposure to AI, data, autonomous vehicle, cross-border, or German commercial and employment matters.
• Experience automating and scaling legal processes, templates, or commercial legal functions.
