Legal Counsel I (Commercial)

Location: Winnersh, United Kingdom

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 per annum, depending on experience and other legitimate business factors.

What you will do

• Provide practical, commercially minded legal advice to commercial, homecare, and operational teams across Northern Europe.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, distribution, service, cooperation, and other commercial agreements.
• Advise on commercial and service models, day-to-day legal matters, and risk allocation in business projects.
• Support corporate governance, local entity matters, employment law questions, contracts, and HR-related legal requirements.
• Collaborate with local business teams, international stakeholders, the global Law team, and European Law colleagues.
• Coordinate external legal advisors and develop practical legal guidance, templates, and training.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 6 years of related experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
• Fully qualified lawyer in the UK or another European jurisdiction; admission to a Bar is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of European and UK contract, commercial, competition, corporate, and employment law.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and international teams.
• Proficiency in English.
