Senior Engineering Program Manager (Wireless)

Location: Onsite, primarily from an HPE office in the United States; not a remote position. Relocation is not available.

Salary: USD 120,000–243,000 annual base salary in California, plus potential variable incentives.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional hardware and software programs for wireless access point products.
• Drive new product introduction deliverables from concept through first revenue shipment and ongoing product sustenance.
• Coordinate PLM, hardware, software, system testing, manufacturing, technical publications, and customer service teams.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, dependencies, and critical paths across multiple concurrent programs.
• Communicate program status and escalate issues to senior leadership while keeping delivery within agreed tolerances.
• Lead qualifications and initiatives for wireless products already in production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10–12 years of experience in an IT product-based company, preferably in telecommunications or networking.
• At least 7 years of program management experience, preferably including 5+ years leading hardware programs.
• Experience managing complex hardware and software projects from concept through production.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and executive presentation skills.
• Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project or Smartsheet, and document repositories.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
