Material Planner

Location: Onsite in Richmond, Virginia, United States. Applicants must already have US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global.

Salary: $83,300–$133,280 annually.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end inventory planning from purchase requisition through customer invoicing.
• Define inventory policies based on specified segmentation.
• Calculate and maintain safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times, and replenishment strategies in planning systems and ERP platforms.
• Analyze potential shortages, assign valid notifications to Purchasing, troubleshoot warnings, and adjust SAP parameters when appropriate.
• Collaborate with buyers to improve supplier on-time delivery, minimum order quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility.
• Support internal customer service inquiries and ensure material availability according to the manufacturing plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Experience with SAP MM/PP.
• Experience in inventory management and control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Existing US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Query, Power BI, and data analysis.
