Supply Chain Planner

Location: Oak Brook, IL, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop and oversee finished-goods inventory levels based on demand forecasts, lead times, storage constraints, carrying costs, and service targets.
• Lead safety stock optimization, pre-build strategies, excess inventory reduction, and at-risk inventory management.
• Collaborate with demand planning, product management, purchasing, operations, customer service, suppliers, and other stakeholders on supply planning improvements.
• Maintain planning master data in Blue Yonder and ERP systems and implement appropriate planning methods, including reorder point, Min-Max, make-to-stock, and make-to-order.
• Finalize supply plans, support purchasing execution, manage exceptions and backlog, and improve KPIs such as inventory days-on-hand, OTIF, and master data accuracy.
• Support SIOP Supply, new product development and introduction, customer onboarding, and M&A integration activities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods, with a focus on supply planning or inventory management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
• Experience with MRP and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder; Blue Yonder experience is preferred.
• Experience with SIOP processes, including supply review focused on production and distribution capacity planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analyzing and managing large datasets; familiarity with Power BI or other visualization tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
