Inventory Planning & Control Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Fully remote or hybrid if local to Buffalo, NY; access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.

Salary: $125,000–$165,000 annually.

What you will do

• Own inventory policy governance, planning strategy, targets, safety stock, reorder parameters, and planning data accuracy.
• Represent inventory in Integrated Business Planning and Integrated Tactical Planning processes.
• Optimize inventory levels, cash flow, working capital, customer service, and on-time delivery.
• Monitor inventory KPIs and create executive reporting on turns, days of supply, accuracy, fill rate, past-due, and obsolete inventory.
• Lead cycle count governance, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and inventory risk mitigation.
• Partner with materials, operations, supply chain, and program teams on purchased and manufactured parts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, finance, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in inventory analysis, financial analysis, or statistical and data reporting.
• Working knowledge of IBP, demand and supply balancing, production planning, purchasing, forecasting, and inventory control.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems; SAP is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and multi-level BOM analysis.
• Ability to obtain access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• SAP S/4HANA or Kinaxis experience.
• Experience in regulated aerospace or defense manufacturing, including AS9100, lot traceability, and export compliance.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP, CPM, or PMP certification.
