Procurement Specialist (Electrical)

Location: Onsite in Shanghai, China

What you will do

• Conduct global strategic sourcing and supplier development for electrical components, low- and high-voltage appliances, and complete electrical equipment.
• Develop supplier portfolios, research markets, and manage strategic Chinese electrical suppliers.
• Lead global RFQs, quotation reviews, multi-region price comparisons, negotiations, and framework agreements.
• Implement cost reduction plans, analyze cost structures, and optimize global procurement costs.
• Collaborate with business units, quality, and engineering teams on technical specifications, certifications, inspections, and supplier quality.
• Manage delivery performance, commercial disputes, procurement claims, compliance, intellectual property, and supply-chain risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation, Electronic Information, or a related major.
• At least 7 years of experience in global strategic sourcing for electrical products, including overseas supplier development and cross-border projects.
• Fluent English required for business communication, meetings, contract drafting, and reviewing technical documents; the interview will be conducted in English.
• Knowledge of global electrical standards, safety certifications, cross-border procurement, strategic supplier management, and framework agreements.
• Strong skills in cost analysis, quotation evaluation, project coordination, communication, and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools, with the ability to work with overseas teams across time zones.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IEC, NEMA, GOST, Australian, Chilean, and other international electrical certification standards.
• Existing overseas electrical supplier relationships.
• Experience in large foreign-invested or manufacturing enterprises.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, or AI.
• Spanish language skills.
