Finishing Business Unit Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day Coating and Finishing operations across multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate production activities, workforce planning, communication, budgets, and cost variance analysis.
• Manage Shift Managers across Coating, Finishing, Shipping, and Material Handling.
• Support Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, Cost, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and coach frontline supervisors and direct reports while supporting performance management and employee development.
• Lead safety activities, including accident investigations and return-to-work coordination with Occupational Health.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6+ years of operations or manufacturing experience, with 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Successful experience leading and managing individuals and teams in a team-based organization.
• Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow, ELS, continuous flow, cellular manufacturing, and improvement strategies.
• Understanding of financial systems and key manufacturing cost drivers.
• Strong organizational, communication, strategic planning, and execution skills.
