Pharmacist

Location: Rosebud, South Dakota, United States; onsite at Rosebud IHS Hospital

Salary: USD $75.00–$80.00 per hour

What you will do

• Screen patient charts, medication orders, laboratory results, vitals, allergies, and clinical notes for medication safety.
• Process, fill, verify, and enter prescriptions, including outside prescriptions and refill requests.
• Educate patients on medication therapy and collaborate with providers and pharmacy staff.
• Respond to adverse medication reactions, life-threatening emergencies, resuscitation needs, and other clinical situations.
• Perform controlled substance audits, IV admixtures, inpatient drug distribution, and inventory-related duties.
• Administer immunizations and complete required safety, infection-control, and competency training.

Requirements

• One to three years of clinical pharmacy experience in ambulatory or inpatient care.
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license without disciplinary action in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• Certification in immunization delivery or another clinical pharmacy service.
• Ability to work onsite in Rosebud, South Dakota, on day or night shifts.

Nice to have

• Completion of a PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience.
