What you will do

  • Assist with the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
  • Support the creation and execution of mechanical product test plans.
  • Perform basic engineering analyses and simulations to validate designs.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, design specifications, and project updates.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet design requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design and testing issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and CAD software.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and multidisciplinary development teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for employment.
  • Ability to understand technical documents, designs, and test reports and communicate technical information clearly.

Nice to have

  • Internship or project experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Familiarity with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
  • Knowledge of parametric design, model-based definition, materials and hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Knowledge of environmental requirements for aircraft and space components.
