Senior Manager – Bond and Specialty Insurance Pricing

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $120,400–$198,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning and manage the execution of assigned initiatives and projects.
• Develop and modernize rate plans and product delivery for Bond & Specialty Insurance.
• Perform rate adequacy, profitability, rate review, and other actuarial and quantitative analyses for Professional Liability products.
• Partner with underwriting, Product Management, Business Intelligence & Analytics, IT, Regulatory, Reserving, and other business stakeholders.
• Translate business requests into analytical solutions and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage, mentor, onboard, and support the development of individual contributors or interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a STEM-related degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of quantitative analysis experience; the broader profile calls for 5+ years.
• Associate Actuarial Credential.
• Experience with actuarial and quantitative analysis, statistical concepts, and insurance products.
• Strong PC skills and programming experience with SQL and SAS.
• Management experience and the ability to lead projects, build relationships, and develop talent.
