Principal Engineer - Facilities Engineering (Semiconductor)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite facilities engineering role supporting continuous manufacturing operations.

Salary: $85,000–$146,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for the operation, maintenance, reliability, and improvement of bulk and specialty gas systems.
• Act as the technical interface between Facilities and manufacturing customers to ensure reliable gas delivery and process support.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and reliability, and lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Optimize gas storage, distribution, purification, delivery, monitoring, and control systems to improve safety, quality, reliability, and cost performance.
• Lead system modifications, expansions, design reviews, capital projects, startup support, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain engineering standards and operating procedures while training and mentoring technicians, engineers, and operations personnel.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree from an accredited engineering program.
• At least five years of high-purity gas experience or experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Technical expertise in specialty gas distribution systems, gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes, gas monitoring systems, purification technologies, and pressure control systems.
• Ability to support continuous manufacturing operations during off-hours when required.
• Project management skills, attention to detail, ownership, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
