Focus on evaluating patient outcomes, adjusting ordered therapies, educating patients and families, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams during night shifts.
Location: Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States. On-site, full-time night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation.
Salary: USD 38.50–53.90 per hour. Sign-on bonus: USD 10,000, subject to eligibility rules.

What you will do
- Provide respiratory care to acutely ill adult patients through assessment, treatment, intervention, and evaluation.
- Deliver respiratory therapies and modalities across medical-surgical, emergency, critical care, and other adult care units.
- Implement respiratory protocols, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment frequency when appropriate.
- Respond to clinical emergencies, document patient conditions, and communicate with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory disease management and available support resources.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, support students, and promote teamwork and professional standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Active or pending Illinois Respiratory Care License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Availability for on-site night shifts, including weekend and holiday rotation.

- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
