Salary: $38.50–$51.98 per hour; eligible candidates may receive a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Provide respiratory care to acutely ill patients across adult medical-surgical, emergency, and critical care units.
• Implement respiratory protocols and deliver, assess, and adjust ordered therapies.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions with the healthcare team.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory disease management and available support resources.
• Precept students and new hires and contribute to department education and process improvement.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience.
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Active Illinois Respiratory Care License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification, plus ACCS, RPFT, AE-C, or NPS specialty certification.

Nice to have

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Bachelor's degree.
