Purchasing Intern (Year-Round)

What you will do

• Support the open-order process through supplier communication and follow-up.
• Prepare and analyze Requests for Proposal, including bid evaluation and supplier communication.
• Conduct supplier document audits and support continuous improvement initiatives with the Process Team.
• Develop and maintain master product portfolios with the buying team.
• Assist with procurement data analysis, reporting, special projects, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Explore AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline administrative work and improve decision-making.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, with current standing of at least sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple tasks, and communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• ERP experience.
• Purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S tools.

Culture & Benefits

• Part-time schedule of 15–20 hours per week during the academic year.
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Year-round internship beginning in January 2027.
• Internship positions are not eligible for benefits.
