Supply Chain Intern

Crane Aerospace & Electronics operates in aerospace electronics and manufacturing, with the role supporting the supply chain activities of Crane Resistoflex.

What you will do

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies for assigned commodities, targeting material cost reduction, supplier on-time delivery, inventory reduction, quality improvement, and lead-time reduction.
• Manage sourcing initiatives, including supply-base rationalization, low-cost sourcing, competitive bidding, supplier agreements, and contract awards.
• Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, and production teams to develop supplier capabilities and resolve operational issues.
• Plan and monitor re-sourcing and material-planning initiatives to maintain uninterrupted product flow.
• Implement replenishment methods such as Kanban, vendor-managed inventory, and supplier consignments.
• Support new product introduction, proposal development, subcontracting, and supplier continuous-improvement activities.

Requirements

• Pursuing a B.S. or B.A. in supply chain, business, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation, contract-management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders across multifunctional teams.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and scheduling software.
• Willingness to travel 5%.
• Ability to support quality requirements under IATF 16949-2016, ISO 9001-2015, PED 2014/68/EU, API Spec. Q1, and API 6D.

Nice to have

• 2–3 years of experience in a supply chain-related role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, supplier qualification processes, and supplier performance metrics.
• Experience with lean concepts, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, pull systems, or Kanban.
• Experience with eSourcing tools and global sourcing.
