Senior Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; 100% in-office presence required with no remote work.

What you will do

• Interpret demand requirements and make strategic procurement decisions.
• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, goods, and services.
• Issue and expedite purchase orders and resolve purchasing discrepancies.
• Analyze supply-chain risks, develop mitigation plans, and present recommendations to senior management.
• Evaluate supplier performance across quality, delivery, price, and other relevant metrics.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Program Management, suppliers, and other stakeholders to improve material availability and procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
• At least five years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to collaborate across all organizational levels and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fundamental understanding of Lean principles and solid business acumen.
• Sound judgment, ethical conduct, professional integrity, and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
