Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift) (Manufacturing)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $42.15 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify CNC machines, grinders, die cast machines, heat-treating ovens, paint lines, and other production equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and rebuild plant equipment involving pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and minor electrical systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, specifications, blueprints, sketches, and drawings.
• Assist with moving machines, fixtures, materials, and equipment, and produce tooling and dies for production needs.
• Perform sheet-metal work to construct guards, ducting, spouts, and similar components.
• Train, instruct, guide, and supervise apprentices while following company safety policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Valid state-registered Journey Worker's card in the Maintenance Mechanic Trade or at least 8 years of documented manufacturing mechanic experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of robots, Mazak CNC machinery, hydraulics, and pneumatically controlled equipment.
• Basic working knowledge of electricity, welding, hydraulic systems, and mechanical functions.
• Ability to use maintenance tools and measuring devices, plan work efficiently, and work with only occasional supervision.
• Ability to work safely on a manufacturing floor around energized equipment, noise, fumes, heat, moving parts, confined spaces, and elevated areas; frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds is required.
