Maintenance Mechanic Lead (BCS) (Manufacturing)

Location: St Charles, Illinois, United States. Onsite, 1st shift, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Salary: $29.29–$43.50 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.

What you will do

• Lead daily maintenance activities, assign tasks, monitor progress, and review work completed by junior staff.
• Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load electrical lines, circuits, controls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures in production machinery.
• Maintain and repair die cutters, sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment, and related machinery.
• Track maintenance costs, manage parts inventory and work orders, and help maintain shift schedules and attendance records.
• Coach, guide, and train junior mechanics and maintenance technicians.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced ability to troubleshoot, overhaul, align, test, and maintain complex equipment and machine-control systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, manufacturer specifications, and hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical system documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, welders, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, or surface grinders.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HazMat, Lock Out Tag Out, NEC, Skyjack lifts, elevated platforms, and industrial safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for long shifts, and climb ladders and stairs.
