Turbomachinery Mechanic

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, and related equipment.
• Follow shop instructions, routers, repair instructions, OEM drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Use wrenches, hydraulic tooling, precision measurement tools, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
• Record inspection findings, dimensional measurements, and damage photographs on handheld tablets.
• Review bills of materials and manufacturing drawings to identify replacement parts.
• Collaborate with mechanics, machinists, weld technicians, inspectors, engineers, and project managers throughout repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of industrial mechanical repair experience.
• At least three years of experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• At least three years of rigging experience with straps, chains, chain-falls, swivel eyes, and related equipment.
• Ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings, read scales and micrometers, and work with limited supervision.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
