Overhaul Technician

Location: Desoto, Texas; onsite five days a week

Salary: $51,674–$77,510 per year

What you will do

• Assemble and disassemble Taurus 70, Mars, and Titan 130 gas turbine engines, power turbines, reduction gearboxes, and stationary sub-assemblies.
• Follow work instructions, engineering drawings, oral instructions, and established shop practices.
• Use precision measuring instruments, hand and power tools, shop equipment, machinery, test equipment, and inspection equipment.
• Identify component quality issues, request Engineering support when needed, and collaborate with technicians to solve technical problems.
• Record discrepancies, incidents, assembly, disassembly, and repair activities in standard applications and the Quality Management System.
• Handle turbine materials and sub-assemblies, maintain an orderly workspace, and support production and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment with hoists, cranes, industrial vehicles, heavy parts, chemicals, fluids, and occasional elevated noise.
• Proficient use of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, drop micrometers, and bore micrometers.
• Ability to operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, along with bench and hand tools.
• Ability to flex across Sub-Assemblies, Accessory Build, and Turbine Build operations and learn different models.
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-direction, multitasking ability, and effective collaboration with production, supply chain, materials, engineering, and project teams.
