Senior Director, Enterprise AI Platform Engineering (AI)

Location: Hybrid; on-site work required at an hirify.global office in Acton, Massachusetts or San Diego, California. U.S.-based position.

Annual base salary: $280,600–$420,850, plus potential incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies for diabetes care and additional therapeutic areas.

What you will do

• Define the multi-year vision, architecture, operating model, roadmap, and investment plan for the enterprise AI platform.
• Lead platform capabilities for Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, custom copilots, AI agents, LLMs, RAG, semantic search, and intelligent automation.
• Build reusable AI services, APIs, connectors, model gateways, evaluation tools, monitoring capabilities, and semantic services.
• Own enterprise knowledge retrieval, document intelligence, vector indexing, metadata, knowledge graphs, and data-readiness standards.
• Establish governance automation, responsible AI controls, AI FinOps, LLMOps, observability, reliability, and risk-management practices.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary organization of directors, managers, architects, engineers, product leaders, and technical specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, analytics, or a related technical field.
• 18+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise technology, data, analytics, AI, platform engineering, or cloud engineering organizations.
• Experience setting multi-year enterprise platform strategy, managing complex investment portfolios, and delivering secure, reliable, reusable services at scale.
• Strong knowledge of generative AI, large language models, RAG, AI agents, copilots, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, document intelligence, knowledge graphs, MLOps/LLMOps, APIs, and cloud-native engineering.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and communicate architecture choices, investments, value, and risk at CTO and ELT levels.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with required on-site work at an hirify.global office in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, diabetes care, digital health, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or enterprise integration ecosystems.
• Experience with AI FinOps, governance automation, AI observability, model gateways, prompt management, evaluation frameworks, or enterprise guardrails.
