Principal Engineering Manager, Copilot Agent Platform (AI)

Location: Remote, United States

Base salary: USD $160,200–$425,000 per year, plus potential bonus, stock, and other rewards.

What you will do

• Lead a team developing agentic experiences on the hirify.global Cloud Agent Platform.
• Set technical direction, translate product strategy into roadmaps, and shape hirify.global’s AI product portfolio.
• Recruit, coach, and develop engineers, including staff and principal-level employees.
• Own incident response, service reliability, SLOs, postmortems, capacity planning, performance, and compliance.
• Drive experimentation, telemetry-based development, automation, tooling, and operational standardization.
• Partner with Product Management, Design, Research, Security, and engineering teams on complex cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• 11+ years of experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• 3+ years building or managing large-scale services or building agentic products.
• Production software development experience with languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, large-scale services, generative AI application architectures, and technical leadership.
• Must be based in the United States; the role is remote within the United States.

Nice to have

• Expertise with systems programming languages, especially Rust and Go.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations in high-growth or ambiguous environments.
• Experience designing or integrating AI/ML-powered features into production systems.
