TL;DR

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Onsite role with up to 10% travel to customer sites. U.S. Person status is required due to the nature of the work and potential access to export-controlled information.

Salary: $82,000–$110,000 per year, plus bonus.

What you will do

  • Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and industry standards to prepare accurate technical input for proposals.
  • Design, test, and qualify HVAC systems and equipment, including air handling units, chillers, dampers, pumps, fans, and compressors.
  • Develop practical solutions for complex mechanical, thermal, and fluid-flow engineering problems.
  • Translate technical requirements into system plans and project documentation.
  • Support project meetings, walk-downs, site visits, customer discussions, and technical implementation activities.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, engineering, program management, operations, sales, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • U.S. Person status is required; additional security screening may apply for export-controlled information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
  • Two to six years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems and air or water fluid flow.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to customer sites and coordinate multiple responsibilities.

Nice to have

  • Experience with thermal systems or HVAC equipment such as pumps, fans, and compressors.
  • Experience in a highly regulated nuclear, aerospace, or defense industry.
  • Familiarity with ASME AG-1.
