Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Systems)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Hybrid schedule: onsite Monday through Thursday; work location is flexible on Fridays. Travel up to 10% required.

Annual base salary: $60,000.00–$86,169.99.

What you will do

• Lead mechanical engineering and order execution activities for Airside Data Center products.
• Support bidding, submittals, order release, bills of material, model generation, and customer-specific configurations.
• Develop and review mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and product documentation.
• Coordinate with electrical, design, operations, manufacturing, quality, product management, and laboratory teams.
• Resolve production and field issues, lead risk assessments, design reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Implement design improvements and design-for-manufacturing principles to improve quality, safety, manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and cost performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• At least 3 years of experience in design engineering, product engineering, or mechanical engineering support.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, product documentation, bills of material, and engineering drawing and model processes.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, design, operations, and manufacturing teams and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and designers.
• Experience with HVAC, air handling equipment, or related engineered products is preferred.

• Experience supporting configured-to-order or engineered-to-order products.
