TL;DR
Database Architect (AI/Power Platform): Designing and developing scalable enterprise applications and data architectures for finance, travel, and property services in a secured defense research environment with an accent on Microsoft Power Platform, cloud platforms, database engineering, and generative AI. Focus on architecting production-oriented solutions, integrating AI into enterprise workflows, implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, and solving complex security, monitoring, and data-management challenges.
Location: Hybrid in Lexington, Massachusetts; must live within 100 miles and work onsite 2–3 days per week. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain an active Secret Clearance; an interim clearance is sufficient to start.

What you will do
- Advise on architecture and lead hands-on development of scalable applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Design and develop applications with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, SQL databases, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Translate user stories and business requirements into functional code, technical roadmaps, and delivered capabilities.
- Create enterprise system documentation, standard operating procedures, monitoring methods, and troubleshooting guidance.
- Identify dependencies and technical gaps, implement enhancements, and support deployment and post-deployment log reviews.
- Apply version control, CI/CD, DevSecOps, application security, and lifecycle management practices while training staff on solution development and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT systems development experience focused on the Microsoft solution stack and cloud technologies.
- Extensive experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerFx, Dataverse, model-driven and canvas applications, and SharePoint Online.
- Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, data architecture, databases, big data engineering, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience with Azure and AWS, government cloud environments operating under FedRAMP guidelines, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and application lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience developing production-oriented generative AI, machine learning, NLP, intelligent automation, and low-code solutions.
- U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, and residence within 100 miles of Lexington, Massachusetts are required.
