Network Company President - Furniture Retail

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States; full-time onsite at the showroom five days a week

What you will do

• Own business strategy, operations, and full P&L management for a longstanding home furnishings retailer.
• Lead and develop an experienced commission-based sales team and protect a high-touch, consultative customer experience.
• Manage purchasing, pricing, merchandising, vendor relationships, buying-cooperative programs, and market trips.
• Drive revenue growth through marketing, community outreach, showroom improvements, digital discovery, and appointment booking.
• Establish operational processes and track performance across sales, warehouse, delivery, financial, and business metrics.
• Lead the transition to employee ownership while managing personnel matters and building relationships with customers, vendors, and the local community.

Requirements

• Proven leadership of a commission-based or consultative sales team selling high-ticket, considered purchases.
• Meaningful experience in furniture, home furnishings, retail leadership, merchandising, manufacturing, or an adjacent high-end home retail business.
• Experience with purchasing, pricing, vendor negotiation, and preferably furniture markets, buying cooperatives, or custom-order programs.
• Working knowledge of P&L management, gross margin, discounting, inventory, and financial decision-making.
• People-first leadership, strong communication, project management, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to serve as a visible, engaged presence in the local community and operate hands-on during the ownership transition.
