Service Technician Helper (HVAC)

Location: Field-based work at customer locations in Latham, New York

Hourly base pay: $15.07–$26.37

What you will do

• Coordinate with the team leader, project manager, and customers to plan on-site installations and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Use software, handheld devices, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications during field service work.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through direct communication and accurate project support.
• Enforce safety standards and track the use, condition, and accountability of company assets.
• Work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school.
• Typically 0–2 years of HVAC experience; technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform field-based work at customer locations and meet safety-sensitive role requirements, including possible additional drug screening.

Nice to have

• EPA certification, such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer certification.
