Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

Location: Columbia, South Carolina, United States; daily travel to local properties is required.

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, adjusted based on experience, licensure level, and location.

What you will do

• Perform routine and emergency HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Prepare vacant rental units for new move-ins.
• Conduct move-in, move-out, and property onboarding inspections.
• Audit maintenance work completed by external vendors.
• Manage service tasks through mobile apps and post legal notices.

Requirements

• HVAC Type II Certification required; Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and use mobile apps for work orders and communication.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• High school diploma or GED; employment is contingent on a background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, climb, and perform other physical duties.
