AVP, Corporate Development

Location: Columbus, Ohio, One hirify.global Plaza; normal office environment. The role may require travel to meet with business leaders, external partners, and transaction or integration teams.

Salary: $175,000–$291,000 expected starting annual range; national range $175,000–$326,000.

What you will do

• Lead the corporate development agenda across mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures, partnerships, and other inorganic growth opportunities.
• Direct market analysis, competitive assessment, strategic-fit reviews, business cases, valuation, scenario analysis, and risk assessments.
• Manage transaction execution from initial contact through due diligence, structuring, negotiation, approvals, signing, and closing.
• Oversee integration planning and execution, including operating-model alignment, synergy realization, culture and talent considerations, risk and controls, technology and process integration, and post-close performance tracking.
• Build relationships with investment banks, brokerage firms, private equity and strategic investors, legal and accounting advisors, consultants, and other external partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop Corporate Development teams while partnering with Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Human Resources, and business units.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, strategy, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, strategic finance, management consulting, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex transactions, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, transaction approval, and integration.
• Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, transaction structures, valuation methods, financial modeling, due diligence, and integration planning.
• Executive presence, communication, negotiation, relationship-management, stakeholder-alignment, and people-leadership skills.
• Ability to lead multiple complex, confidential, and time-sensitive workstreams with sound judgment and disciplined governance.
