Associate, Corporate Development (EdTech)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates residing in the Northeastern US are preferred. Up to approximately 30% travel is expected.

Salary: $129,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential incentive, commission, or annual bonus pay.

What you will do

• Support end-to-end M&A execution, including target screening, financial and market diligence, valuation analysis, and transaction materials.
• Build and maintain financial models for acquisition targets and strategic investments.
• Research education-industry markets, competitors, M&A trends, and target-company operating data.
• Identify risks, synergies, and integration considerations and summarize findings for senior leadership.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and business leaders on deal structuring, diligence, closing, funds flow, and post-close integration planning.
• Manage deal pipelines and diligence trackers while preparing board- and executive-ready presentations and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience, with 2–6 years preferred, in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in the education industry.
• Strong accounting and M&A knowledge, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to build complete financial models in Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
• Highly proficient in PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.
