Software Engineering Manager - Heritage Integrations (AI) (API/EDI integration): Leading the design and delivery of partner-facing APIs, EDI integrations, and reusable Enterprise Integration Layer capabilities for fulfillment, logistics, and retail workflows with an accent on Azure, .NET/C#, cloud-native architecture, and operational reliability. Focus on onboarding external partners, standardizing EDI transformations, managing order-to-cash integrations, and applying AI-assisted engineering and agentic integration patterns.

What you will do

Lead technical onboarding for partners and customers using REST APIs, event-driven architectures, EDI, and hybrid integration models.
Design, build, and maintain partner-facing APIs, services, integration applications, and EDI workflows aligned with the Enterprise Integration Layer.
Own fulfillment and order-to-cash integrations covering orders, shipment notifications, invoices, inventory updates, acknowledgments, and reconciliation.
Develop reusable transformation libraries, canonical mappings, integration patterns, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Lead an Agile team of 5+ software engineers, business analysts, and QA professionals while managing delivery timelines and operational handoffs.
Drive AI-assisted software development, intelligent QA automation, AI-enabled mapping and transformation, and exploration of agentic integration workflows.

Requirements

Hands-on engineering leadership experience in API development, system integrations, and partner-facing solutions.
At least 5 years of experience building cloud-native applications and integrations with microservices or SOA.
Strong experience with Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus/Event Grid, .NET, C#, RESTful APIs, and integration patterns.
Expertise in ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and transaction sets 850, 855, 856, 810, and 846.
Experience with EDI platforms such as SPS Commerce, Cleo, Boomi, MuleSoft, or Logic Apps, plus CI/CD, DevOps, API security, OAuth, OWASP, observability, data transformation, and orchestration.
Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools or building and integrating AI-driven solutions.

Nice to have

Experience with Enterprise Integration Platforms, EIL modernization, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or data platforms such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
Background in eCommerce, distribution, fulfillment, or B2B partner ecosystems.
Experience designing AI agents, agentic workflows, RAG systems, vector databases, or agent frameworks.
