Manager, Operations

Location: United States, Remote

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, depending on the employee’s U.S. location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Coach, develop, and performance-manage Operations Associates and Team Leads.
• Own quality-control processes and SLA management for accurate, timely financial transactions and money movements.
• Define and monitor KPIs covering accuracy, processing times, errors, staffing, and customer impact.
• Translate customer experience insights into actionable input for Product and Engineering, and operationalize technical and process changes.
• Lead operational improvement, automation, documentation, capacity-planning, and scaling initiatives.
• Manage escalations involving transaction issues, compliance concerns, and system defects through root-cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of people-management experience leading teams that process financial transactions or money movements in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle for a 401(k) or comparable financial product, including regulatory requirements and the impact of errors.
• Experience designing and managing rigorous quality-control processes, SLAs, KPIs, and operational improvement projects.
• Ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams while presenting metrics, risks, and improvement proposals to senior leadership.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, customer empathy, and a high standard of precision in a financially regulated environment.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with 401(k) recordkeeping platforms, retirement plan administration, or payroll integrations.
• Experience with reconciliation, audit support, workflow automation, case management, Lean, or Six Sigma.
