Investment Operations Analyst - Reconciliation Specialist (US Start of Day) (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, NY; Reno, NV; or San Ramon, CA. Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. The role follows an 8:00 AM–4:00 PM ET schedule, with availability for an early start between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM EST.

Salary: $101,500–$127,000 for New York and California-based employees.

What you will do

• Set up new accounts, process account updates and terminations, and maintain portfolio group structures.
• Record trade-date financial transactions, process income and expense accruals, and support period-end close activities.
• Manage trade capture, matching, confirmations, allocations, settlement workflows, and T+1 requirements.
• Process corporate actions, apply pricing and FX data, maintain security master information, and resolve exceptions.
• Perform daily reconciliations of positions, transactions, cash, and tax lots against custodians and prime brokers; investigate and document breaks.
• Support performance reporting, customer inquiries, exception reporting, and automation initiatives using AI/ML.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in investment operations or a related middle- or back-office function.
• Experience with portfolio accounting, reconciliation, performance reporting, and trade lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Google Apps or Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets.
• United States work authorization without employer sponsorship and availability for an early start are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise SaaS or fintech platforms.
• Familiarity with Slack, JIRA, Confluence, or Kantata.
• Exposure to APIs, AWS, or other cloud architectures.
• CFA or CPA designation, or progress toward one.
