Shift Leader (Material Handlers)

Location: Senatobia, Mississippi, United States of America; full-time onsite role in a warehouse and manufacturing production environment.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate material handler team members across the shift, assign priorities, conduct briefings, and provide training.
• Manage material flow from the warehouse to the supermarket and line-side racks using Kanban replenishment signals.
• Oversee cycle counts, inventory organization, bin labeling, excess material returns, empty-bin management, and documentation.
• Enforce 5S standards, conduct audits, support Automated Process Improvement initiatives, and maintain safe working practices.
• Monitor material quality and performance metrics, prepare shift reports, and coordinate issue resolution with Production and Warehouse teams.
• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and waste reduction across material handling operations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or production logistics.
• Supervisory or leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop team members.
• Knowledge of Kanban, supermarket management, inventory control, material flow, 5S, and lean manufacturing.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems or material handling software, plus strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, and work in noisy or variable industrial conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Just-In-Time practices in manufacturing.
• Forklift, pallet jack, or other material handling equipment certification.
• Experience with advanced WMS or ERP systems.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or similar process improvement certification.
• Experience in automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturing.
