Material Handler

Location: Newark, Delaware, United States; onsite at the Dawson Plant

Salary: Starting rate of $24.61 per hour, plus shift differential and $1.00 for second shift.

What you will do

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial vehicles safely.
• Receive, move, pick, stage, sequence, and prepare materials for production and outbound shipments.
• Verify quantities, packaging, labels, and shipping information, and report inventory or material discrepancies.
• Use SAP, barcode scanners, and inventory systems to record material movement and complete cycle counts.
• Inspect trailers and material-handling equipment and maintain a clean, safe, organized 5S work area.
• Support continuous improvement, problem-solving, cross-training, and changing production needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED completed before the start date.
• At least six months of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, shipping and receiving, or material handling.
• Experience operating powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, order picking, material movement, or inventory control.
• Basic computer skills for entering, retrieving, and verifying inventory or shipping information.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, Acura 2, barcode scanners, or other warehouse management systems.
• Experience with cycle counting, inventory accuracy, customer-specific labeling, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and experience identifying and reporting discrepancies.
