Material Handler (Manufacturing)

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States; onsite

Salary: Minimum starting rate of $22.92 per hour

McNeilus, an Oshkosh company, designs and manufactures refuse truck bodies and related equipment for waste collection fleets.

What you will do

• Receive, locate, pull, stock, deliver, and ship materials and supplies for production and sales orders.
• Verify parts and quantities, complete bills of lading, and maintain accurate inventory transactions.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, combi, lancer, and tugger equipment.
• Perform inventory cycle counts, update JDE, resolve discrepancies, and monitor KANBAN cards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following safety procedures and 6S standards.
• Work cross-functionally with internal customers and support warehouse operations on the 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. shift, five days per week.

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant experience or a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Ability to become forklift certified and safely operate a forklift or tugger.
• Ability to lift and manipulate parts or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to use a computer and JDE or other ERP systems for inventory tracking.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb in and out of equipment, and work safely in a loud industrial environment.
• Strong communication, counting, attention-to-detail, and safety awareness skills.
