Software Engineer (CI/CD)

Location: Hybrid remote/on-site in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. TS/SCI security clearance is required, and candidates must be eligible to obtain it.

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, services, scripts, and automation frameworks.
• Build and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines covering automated builds, testing, packaging, deployments, and runner-based execution.
• Develop interfaces and utilities connecting lab systems, test equipment, data services, payload hardware, and engineering workflows.
• Deploy and configure containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or related tools.
• Investigate integration issues across software, Linux systems, networks, containers, pipelines, and hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
• Collaborate with systems, FPGA, electrical, hardware, and integration-and-test engineers while documenting designs, APIs, deployments, and test workflows.

Requirements

• TS/SCI security clearance and eligibility to obtain the clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Mid-level experience developing maintainable applications, services, tools, or automation in Python, C/C++, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar language.
• Strong knowledge of software fundamentals, including data structures, object-oriented design, testing, debugging, version control, and code review.
• Experience with automated testing using PyTest or similar frameworks, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Linux environments, shell scripting, networking concepts, and containerized application development using Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating software with hardware, lab instrumentation, embedded systems, APIs, databases, or distributed services.
