Employee and Labor Relations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Northern California hybrid; candidates must work from the Stockton location at least 3 days per week. The role requires 35%–50% travel to manufacturing locations in the U.S. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $100,900–$171,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead employee and labor relations matters, including interpreting collective bargaining agreements and supporting grievance resolution and arbitration preparation.
• Guide HR on performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and consistent policy application.
• Develop and conduct fair, timely investigations into employee concerns and improve investigation documentation and workflows.
• Partner with employment and litigation counsel to review HR policies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support HR training on employee relations, labor relations, and investigations.
• Track employee relations trends and metrics and prepare reports for Legal and leadership.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in employee and/or labor relations, preferably in a unionized environment.
• 3–5 years of experience conducting workplace investigations; in-house experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, and the NLRA; California-specific knowledge is preferred.
• Strong mediation, conflict-resolution, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex and high-pressure situations and handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Juris Doctor degree.
