Senior Technical Writer

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of two days per week from an HPE office in the United States

Salary: USD 135,500–258,500 annually in Massachusetts; USD 119,500–275,000 annually in North Carolina and Texas. The range reflects base salary; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Analyze customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategies and plans.
• Design and develop user, configuration, troubleshooting, web, and online product information for multiple audiences.
• Code, build, compile, and test online information and integrated help systems.
• Develop documentation standards, style guides, templates, scripts, style sheets, and graphic libraries.
• Collaborate with marketing, testing, support, manufacturing, and product development teams.
• Represent HPE in professional associations and technical standards committees.

Requirements

• First-level university degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science, or a related technical or communications field with at least 8 years of related experience; alternatively, an advanced university degree with at least 6 years of experience.
• Expert knowledge of multiple products and technologies across a division.
• Ability to set information strategy across multiple technologies.
• Knowledge of tools and technologies relevant across the division or multiple divisions.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with regular office attendance.
