VP, Commercial Contracting & Legal Operations (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in a hirify.global office in the United States: San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Dallas, or New York City

Salary: New York, NY: $325,000–$350,000 annually; Dallas, TX: $285,000–$310,000 annually. The Los Angeles range is subject to the posting's location-specific authorization and geographic adjustment policy.

What you will do

• Set the global strategy for procurement, vendor, SaaS, technology, and other commercial agreements across hirify.global brands.
• Lead Legal Operations, including contract lifecycle management, billing, and legal technology tooling.
• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities across contract review, drafting, negotiation support, and risk triage.
• Build a commercial contracting function with playbooks, templates, governance, and scalable processes.
• Support procurement, finance, real estate, workplace experience, and operations teams while managing legal and business risk.
• Lead and develop a team of 4–6 legal professionals and serve as a senior business partner across the organization.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in commercial contracting, procurement, or vendor management, including negotiation and people management.
• Substantial experience leading Legal Operations, preferably for a global legal team.
• Deep experience negotiating SaaS, technology licensing, procurement, and vendor agreements at scale.
• In-house experience at a technology company and experience working in complex, multi-brand or multi-business-unit organizations.
• Experience building or scaling teams, templates, playbooks, and processes in a fast-moving environment.
• J.D. from an accredited institution and an active law license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or contract AI platforms.
• Experience leading and mentoring attorneys and developing high-performing teams.
