TL;DR
Traveling Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Technician (Automotive Electronics): Deploying to Moove depots across the United States to restore fleet readiness, execute advanced repairs, and support autonomous vehicle market launches with an accent on high-voltage systems, onboard compute, lidar, radar, and camera hardware. Focus on performing complex diagnostics and OEM warranty repairs, stabilizing collision and preventive-maintenance backlogs, and transferring safety and repair best practices to local technicians.

Location: Phoenix, AZ; Las Vegas, NV; or Miami, FL. Travel up to 75% of working time, with 1–4 week assignments and dispatch notice as short as 24 hours.

What you will do

  • Deploy to assigned depots within 24–72 hours to stabilize underperforming markets and restore fleet readiness.
  • Perform advanced removal and replacement of onboard compute units, lidar, radar, camera systems, and integrated sensing hardware.
  • Complete authorized OEM warranty repairs on suspension, power conversion, and high-voltage distribution systems.
  • Switch between preventive maintenance and complex diagnostic escalation without a ramp-up period.
  • Coach local technicians on diagnostic techniques, safety discipline, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Follow site-specific safety procedures, including LOTO, MSD, IMD, HVIL, and PPE requirements.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of automotive or aerospace maintenance experience focused on complex electronic systems.
  • Experience performing OEM warranty repairs on critical vehicle systems, including advanced electrical and high-voltage components.
  • Ability to travel on short notice for 1–4 week assignments and travel up to 75% of working time.
  • Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the United States required.
  • Ability to work receiving-market shift hours, stand and walk throughout the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in bay environments with strict PPE and LOTO compliance.

Nice to have

  • Multi-site or mobile technician experience in collision repair, OEM field service, or fleet rapid-response operations.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior technicians.
  • OEM platform certification and additional high-voltage systems experience.
  • CAN and LIN network diagnostic experience.
  • ASE certification such as A6, A7, A8, or L3.
