Mission Operator (Autonomous Driving)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States; extensive travel across the U.S. may be required

What you will do

• Drive development test vehicles on local missions of up to 300–400 miles and multi-day U.S. travel missions involving up to 50% travel.
• Operate vehicles across varied schedules, including overnight shifts.
• Perform vehicle start-up, system engagement and disengagement, and shutdown procedures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot software and hardware systems while vehicles are on the road.
• Execute testing under strict safety and compliance procedures and maintain detailed performance reports.
• Collaborate with engineers by providing feedback on vehicle and system performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of employment experience; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and eligibility to meet hirify.global’s driving record requirements.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States is required.
• Successful completion of ten-panel drug screening and criminal background checks is required.
• Comfort with long hours of driving, close-quarters work, varied schedules, and maintaining focus and professionalism.
• Computer proficiency, basic software and hardware troubleshooting skills, reliability, and the ability to work autonomously.

Nice to have

• Experience in technical driving, fleet operations, or vehicle testing.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics and data logging tools.
• Experience with Jira, Slack, Driver Schedule, or similar work management tools.
