Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional office presence on Monday and Friday

Base salary: $196,750–$243,290 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship features that improve the user journey for millions of Roblox users.
• Develop high-traffic discovery surfaces including Home, Search, Charts, and Experience Details across web and app platforms.
• Architect extensible solutions for delivering features across devices and platforms.
• Use data-driven decisions and A/B testing to improve the user experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and other Roblox teams to connect developers with the right audiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with web technologies including React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience building and launching consumer-facing features with design, product, or other partners.
• Strong understanding of frontend technologies and client-server interaction.
• For US-based roles, candidates must have acceptable United States work authorization; certain visa categories may not be supported.

Nice to have

• Mobile app development or game development experience.
• Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, applied mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics, or another technical field.
