Senior Frontend Software Engineer - Marketplace

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; office-based roles require onsite presence Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

Salary: $196,750–$243,290 USD per year.

What you will do

• Architect and scale applications powering the Avatar Marketplace and its large digital catalog.
• Build cross-platform marketplace experiences for iOS, Android, Xbox, and VR platforms.
• Own high-traffic, mission-critical surfaces used by millions of people daily.
• Improve discovery, monetization, engagement, retention, and bookings for creators and users.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to run A/B tests and analyze user interactions.
• Lead projects through the full development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building complex, responsive user interfaces at scale.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, React Native, or similar.
• Strong user experience intuition and experience developing user-facing applications.
• Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and data-informed product decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and drive projects with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with e-commerce, monetization platforms, or personalization systems.
• Adaptability and interest in exploring new technologies.
