Senior Software Engineer, AI Experience

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week from the assigned office

Salary: $198,500–$248,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and deliver hirify.global AI chat and agentic frontend experiences across web and mobile applications.
• Spend approximately 80% of the role on frontend development and 20% collaborating with backend engineering teams.
• Shape product requirements with Product Managers and UX Designers, make technical trade-offs, and drive delivery decisions.
• Define cross-platform development standards and patterns for web, iOS, and Android.
• Maintain accessibility, performance, quality, testing, and code review standards while shipping weekly to production.
• Partner with backend teams on interfaces, contracts, incremental delivery milestones, evolving AI capabilities, and on-call issue response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Deep expertise in React; React Native experience is advantageous.
• Full-stack understanding of backend APIs, system design, interfaces, and contracts.
• Active use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex is required.
• Experience shipping significant changes across multiple components or systems with minimal guidance in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, A/B testing, feature flags, accessible design, collaboration, mentoring, and code review.

Nice to have

• React Native and cross-platform mobile architecture experience.
• Exposure to GCP.
