Design Engineer (React)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA; relocation expense coverage is available for relocation to NYC or SF.

Salary: $200,000–$310,000 per year, plus equity. Final compensation depends on location and hiring level.

What you will do

• Lead complex implementation projects for Ramp’s brand and product marketing site.
• Maintain and enhance the brand design system and reusable component library with designers and engineers.
• Create interactive experiences that increase site engagement.
• Design and implement solutions independently when design resources are limited.
• Partner with paid advertising and growth teams on landing-page A/B testing for multichannel lead generation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a front-end or design engineer, ideally working on a marketing site.
• Strong React, CSS, Next.js, and Tailwind skills.
• A portfolio site demonstrating previous work.
• Deep understanding of responsive design, design-to-code workflows, and reusable component libraries.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and continuously develop technical and design expertise.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
• Experience with web animation tools such as GSAP or Motion, 3D libraries, or interactive storytelling.
• Experience working with a CMS such as Sanity.
