Architect (Life Sciences)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid work. Moderate travel to meet client and project requirements may be required.

What you will do

• Lead and execute architectural design through programming, planning, feasibility, concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Develop conceptual designs, BIM models, construction drawings, and specifications for life science projects.
• Coordinate architectural work with engineers, BIM coordinators, clients, contractors, and internal and external project teams.
• Manage design information within cost, time, quality, client, regulatory, and industry requirements.
• Support resource planning, proposal pricing, client meetings, project programs, and commercial targets.
• Perform fieldwork, including taking dimensions and visiting construction sites, and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the life sciences industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent Dutch or French and English required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Knowledge of International Building Codes and experience preparing construction documents, graphics, details, and specifications.
• Strong communication, commercial, project coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• NCARB Certification.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements for biotechnology and pharmaceutical projects.
• LEED AP or DGNB certification.
