Electrical Project Engineer (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Onsite in Groningen, Netherlands, supporting a client in Eemshaven

International project delivery company providing project management, engineering and design, construction management, commissioning, and qualification services for multinational clients across Europe, the USA, and Asia.

What you will do

• Prepare detailed project scopes and apply value engineering where possible.
• Evaluate MCCs and electrical installations, identifying integrity and efficiency improvements.
• Define electrical requirements for capital projects and coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and construction management.
• Manage electrical projects across the full project lifecycle, maintaining focus on safety, schedule, cost, engineering standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support commissioning activities and ensure compliance with client procedures and standards.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering electrical projects.
• Ability to read, understand, and fault-find electrical schematics and systems during FATs or onsite commissioning.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, automation, and control systems, with project upgrade experience involving PLC, BMS, SCADA, or DCS systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and MS Office skills.
