Process Control Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Manage, optimize, and further develop process control systems throughout their lifecycle.
• Design, implement, standardize, and maintain control and safety system architectures.
• Prepare functional specifications, technical designs, and User Requirement Specifications.
• Assess and implement automation system modifications, upgrades, extensions, and migrations from design through commissioning.
• Manage OT systems and industrial networks, collaborating with IT, OT, and cybersecurity specialists to maintain secure and reliable environments.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, technical documentation, maintenance support, training, and technical advice for operations and multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Technical Informatics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, process control, or control systems engineering.
• Experience in process manufacturing, chemical, energy, food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries.
• Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and project execution in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, industrial networks, communication protocols, OT infrastructures, and industrial cybersecurity.
• Analytical, solution-oriented communication skills and the ability to translate technical theory into practical solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa CENTUM VP, Honeywell Experion, Siemens PCS7 or PCS neo, Schneider Electric, or HIMA.
• Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443, IEC 61511, NIS2, or virtualization.
